The POYC Scheme was launched to bring a pivotal health service closer to the patient. Through the Scheme, patients collect pharmaceuticals that are provided free of charge by the State from a community pharmacy of their own choice from within their locality. Through the POYC Scheme patients also receive a prompt and personalised service from their village pharmacist with regards to medical information, advice and delivery.
All POYC staff is aware of and upholds the best ethical standards with regards to patient-centric care. Confidentiality is adhered to in full respect of Data Protection laws and regulations and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Click here for Data Protection Policy. In turn, POYC also expects its stakeholders to equally demonstrate high ethical standards.
POYC is committed to delivering a fair and equitable service to all its clients and stakeholders. It is acutely aware of the high level of service expected from it and each member of staff strives to meet these expectations.

The Unit contributes to the community and in line with Government’s policy continuously seeks initiatives to improve the environment.
The Unit recycles plastic containers discarded from our Re-packaging Unit. Initially, the amounts were negligible and collection of plastics took place every three / four weeks or so. Eventually, the volume increased and we also started to collect the carton boxes received through our stock deliveries. Today, the volumes exploded and we are now on WASTESERV Malta Ltd’s map as weekly contributors.
